Today, as a project of JICA and JOCA, 15 educators of Central and South America visited Houjouzu Elementary school.
The purpose of the visit is inspection of the science and mathematics education of Japan.
After seeing the class at work of science (Mr. Koyachi) of the 4th grade for two hours, they discussed it.
They are interested in a class that spend time to test it, and to think enough before giving children the knowledge such as technical terms.
We had a beneficial time.

ＪＩＣＡ（国際協力機構）及びＪＯＣＡ（青年海外協力協会）の事業として、中南米の教育関係者ら１５名が本校を訪問されました。訪問の目的は、日本の理数教育の視察です。
４年生の理科（小谷内教諭）を２時間参観された後、ディスカッションを行いました。
まず、日本の小学校に理科室があるのが普通であることに驚きの声が上がりました。
また、子供たちに専門用語などの知識を与える前に、実験をして十分考える時間をとる授業形態について関心が集まりました。
一様に小谷内教諭の授業に感心され、「これからも日本からノーベル賞を取る人が出てくると思う。」といううれしい言葉までいただきました。
本校にとっても大変勉強になる研修会でした。
